"I have been a martial arts instructor for many years and I believed that learning more complete self-defense meant learning more techniques, or combining techniques from different styles. This course showed me that this just was not true. You do not need a lot of techniques - that can even impair your ability to defend yourself sometimes. It’s that ability to relax and yet still be very alert and to learn to face the aggression and threats in a way that discourages people from messing with you. Then, and maybe this is the most important thing too, and that is learning when it is time to 'go off', so to speak, and then to give it everything you have, everything that carries real damaging power and nothing else, period. We are just are not born knowing how to do all this. Peyton was just dead right, there is so much more to real world self-defense than techniques or what we call ‘martial arts’."
James: "I have been an instructor for over ten years, and have been doing martial arts since I was about ten years old too. But now I know that it isn’t so much what I learned in my martial arts that is going to come out in the real thing - that is, if I really have to fight, what’s going to come out is what I learned here. What I learned here under adrenal stress. It is so real it’s scary, and it’s hard for anybody, I think, to understand that until they are the ones on that mat facing the bullet man, and I don’t care how many full contact tournaments you may have been in, this is different, a lot different, and it is just a lot more real too. All you have to do is come here and take the course and you will be a believer."

Stan: "I took martial arts courses, and some self-defense courses, and they were beneficial, but they really did not address the real problem . Then I read Peyton's book REAL FIGHTING and I thought, 'this could really be it'. So I came and it really was! Peyton delivered on everything he said in that book and you saw that he was really right about how to train people to defend themselves in the real world. The martial arts were fine for what they were, but after this course you see that they are really not the study of self-defense training. This is."

Lido: (Los Angeles Police veteran) "I have taken most all the so called 'Reality Based' self-defense courses and none of them compare to what they are doing here at RMCAT. I worked the streets of LA as a police officer, and so I know something about what really goes down regarding assaults and real fights. Peyton's book rang true to me for just that reason, and then Black Belt Magazine sent me out to take all the new 'reality based courses'. They all had someting to offer, but this one was the best by far. Peyton's course isn't so new though - he has been conducting them for more than ten years now. Also, Bill Kipp was an excellent instructor at RMCAT as well; very effective. The ranch training center is just maganifcent really; more like a resort than anything else really; I recommend it highly."

Patty: "I really did not know what to expect, but what I got was so much more than I thought was possible. I know that I'm not any tough cookie fighter, but now I know that I can deal with somebody trying to hurt me, 100% better than before I came here. It is just a wonderful course for anyone. It isn’t just about physical fighting, either. It just shows you so much about yourself and what you have deep down that you never had the chance to discover before."

"I got a great deal out of this course, more than I expected for sure. It is really an adventure, too. To see how things like people threatening and yelling at you can so profoundly affect you. They really let you see how the criminal and predatory mind works and how to defeat them. Not just physically either."

"It’s great stuff; it was a whole lot of fun too, and I didn’t expect that. I’m a black belt instructor, but this is a whole other dimension in self defense training."

"Great! I want more! It’s really something to at last be able to really unload on somebody and not worry about hurting them or maybe worse."

Warren: "I came because I was being attacked by racist bigots almost all the time in Brooklyn. I had several bones broken too, in the attacks. When I left RMCAT the first time, I think just because of the way they taught me to handle myself and establish a strong verbal boundry, that was why I was able to go the longest period of my life without being assaulted . I realized that before I took the course I just had ‘Victim’ written all over me by the way I had acted around those people. Finally, Mr. Quinn’s course literally saved my life, when I was attacked by an emotionally disturbed person who was trying to kill me and had already done that to other people."
