After more than 20 years of conducting the
RMCAT program, we have refined and polished the instructional methodology to
where we feel we can offer nearly the full program in a 4-training-day time
frame. This also allows us to provide the courses somewhat less expensively to
you. The BASIC course is the most expensive course for us to put on, but it is
also the most important one for you to take.
The
Basic Hand to Hand
Course --
fighting the bulletman:
This is the heart of the RMCAT adrenal stress program, and it will remain
just as it is. Why try to fix something that always works? However, we
may well use more weapons on the stronger attendants. (Knives, clubs,
etc.)
The
Firearms Course:
This course uses the same adrenal stress driven scenario
methodology as the Basic Hand to Hand Course. You will learn to use a variety of
firearms, but most of all you will fire non-lethal bullets at actual potential
assailants.
You will discover that this is far different
and far more enlightening about the use of firearms for self defense than simply
shooting at targets, or some "IPPC" event.
You will learn to make that critical decision in a split second - to use your
weapon or not -- and you will understand when lethal force is legally justified.
You will see for yourself why the sights of a pistol can't (as a rule) be used in actual combat, and you will experience scenarios at night, in low light conditions.
This course includes some legal case studies and discussion of the various laws in various states concerning lethal force.
In the unlikely event that you are forced into an actual self-defense shooting, then everything you learned in this course will be admissible in court, but nothing that you learned after the shooting will be.
You will, for example, see and experience that
a man with a knife can kill you before you can draw and discharge your gun to
stop him -- from as much as 25 feet away! You will also practice the solution to
this surprising tactical problem. The Firearms course now runs for a day and a
half.
Peyton
Quinn:
Favorite Techniques
This course is taught by Mr. Quinn personally. It is somewhat technique-based,
but it reflects the actual techniques he used most frequently and successfully
back in his bouncer days. But after you take the Basic Course, you will know
that fancy martial arts technique is useless or worse in an actual fight.
Yet, there are techniques that can't be safely used on the Bulletman in the Basics Course fight scenarios because of the risk to the instructor in the armor, but they are effective in actual self-defense!
Hence, Peyton will not be teaching any "fancy" techniques that are for "dojo ballerinas" -- this is all actual self-defense.
