Consider the advertisement at image left. Now, look at the START ad slick seen further below. There is no snarling man flying through the air in white pajamas doing a 'flying side kick' into somebody's throat in a START ad. There is a good reason for that too. Even if an adult was looking in the Yellow Pages specificity for "self-defense training" and they saw an image like that most adults would turn the page without looking at it or reading any thing in the ad. Like it or not that is the absolute truth. For one thing, and not the key one either, many people will identify more with the guy getting kicked in the throat than then the guy delivering the kick and won't want to come to your school. But the hard reality is that today, adults see martial arts training as a "children's activity" and so adults just will not consider martial arts as meeting their demand for self-defense training. Consider this, how many children do you have in your school? Now how many adults do you have? Get it? |
DO All THESE PEOPLE LOOK
HAPPY Now, Can you do that too? I am not here to shit you, so I will say flat out, NO, I don't think you will make $10,000 on a single weekend, even with this program. In fact, only a handful of martial arts school owners are even capable of teaching this START program. So you will not have any real competition teaching START ! But if you can become a START instructor then I will say with confidence that it will add at least $1,500 a month to your bottom line and likely more if you follow all our steps and you work at it because nothing is for free people and you must use all our marketing materials properly.

But
you do have some adults in your school. In fact, many school owners
have said to me, "they come in
originally for self-defense, but they stay for
other reasons".
This should tell you that for every adult you have in your school now, there are many more who would take your START course. This because START is marketed as a self-defense course for adults in a way that adults understand and relate too! When they read about START and watch the DVD we will provide about START to give to them freely, then they know they will get real self-defense training for today's real world and not martial arts. Also consider these facts: 1) Most adults do not feel they have time to take martial arts and attend regular classes. 2) Many adult are not comfortable signing a somewhat open ended contract with a school owner. Yet, they are much more likely to pay a single flat fee for a fixed term course directed exactly to their needs. 3) Some adults who see the DVD you will present them on START will be ready to sign up before they even finish watching it at home! |

So what does it cost to become a START instructor? Well, the short answer is more than just money, but not much money either. Part one of becoming a START instructor is taking the full RMCAT armored assailant course here at our multi-million dollar training facility here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. People come from all over the world to take this course and pay $1,250 for the weekend to do so. They get all their meals and lodging in that fee too and it is a tremendous bargain too. In this way you will see how all the parts fit together and the true power of the program. Please understand this, after you take the RMCAT you may or may not feel you can teach the START program. This happen sometimes, but not often. But if that is the case then you pay only for the RMCAT course itself and we refund the portion for you instructor training fee. Then you can do anything you want with what you have learned here, which will be more than you can likely can imagine at this point in time. You can even use what you learned in your own classes too. You just can not call or advertise it as START !. This is a more square & fair deal than you will find anywhere else in this entire industry! If you chose to continue with your instructor training then you stay for one and half more days. During that time we go back over the key points of the drills but these are not hard to learn at all. We also go over the entire marketing program, this is essential as you can have the best program existent (and many people and organizations including Black Belt Magazine have told us that we do) but that won't fill your classes by itself. Not by a long shot. After all, some of the very best martial arts instructors I ever had the privilege to study under taught in their garage or backyard and they had maybe 6 or 9 students. But those students were adults and dedicated too. Conversely some really poor MA school instructors have filled their schools with 250 kids or more who parent's paid $85 or more a month for them to get their MA lessons. Think about that please. The big difference was both the different reasons these instructors taught in the first place and their marketing efforts. In the case of the man who taught for the love of the art there was no real marketing effort and that worked for him just fine because that got him just as he wanted it. Namely a handful of adult dedicated and serious students that he could get the satisfaction of teaching what he had learned after so many dedicated years of study himself. I salute these guys! But I also recognize that they are quickly becoming an extinct breed too. On the other hand, the MA school owner with the few hundred kids taught mainly for that $20,000 gross a month and his marketing was effective. Yet though he may have provided something of real value to those kids in terms of self-discipline and self-esteem, it is very unlikely he could even come close to teaching adults what the 'old timer in his garage' could teach to adult students. We will supply you with marketing materials and instruction on just how to sell the START program. But you do need to have the demographics working for you as well. Yet, if you have a school now that is keeping its head above water, then you can very likely make a success of START. On the other hand my RMCAT school is very remote in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and in 20 years I have only had 5 people from Colorado attend my courses! But they do come from every city in the United Sates and many foreign countries! Think on that, adults would not come from all over the world if they though martial arts training would address their self-defense needs. Besides a third of the people who come her are school owners and advanced black belts anyway. Incidentally, it is 35 miles from my RMCAT facility to the nearest supermarket and that's just exactly the way I like to live too. THE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING FEE: $1250 for the regular RMCAT course, and then just $700 for a total fee of just $1950 for the complete instructor certification and training. This includes all your meals and lodging too. You should recover 100% of your total instructor training fee with your first START class. Almost everyone else has done this without much problem too. HOW CAN WE DO IT THIS CHEAP? WHY DO WE DO IT THIS CHEAP? There are two reasons really. First, I have dedicated 40 years of my life to creating this program. I am a Dr. of Psychology with unique experience as a bouncer, veteran, and other formal academic disciplines. The fact is I was even a high school math teacher 23 plus years ago. I do not want this training technology to die out with me and in fact, I suppose it is already assured that it won't now anyway. RMCAT is even taught in Israel and it is incorporated into some Krav Maga programs now. But the further my program is disseminated the more good it will do. Secondly, I want to retire. I am 60 years of age and there are still a few specific things that I want to do before I pass out of this world. What's the catch? There just isn't any catch and that's for real too!
