The Complete 3 DVD set, $85: ------------------------------------------------ DVD 1, $29.50: Conflict Avoidance and De-Escalation: This is such very essential instruction but it is seldom if ever offered in martial arts classes. If you do not know how the aggressors and bullies think, then you are not prepared to deal with them in a way that avoids violence in the first place. Here,
in this DVD you will see and hear what actual rapist, armed robbers, and
other assaultive criminals actually choose their victims and why
they pass by others who behave in certain way. If you understand
what is presented in this DVD and present it congruently in your behavior
before an irate person "interviewing" you for an attack then you
avoid it coming to violence because he won't attack.

As a bouncer I knew if there was fight, then either of us could be seriously injured. Hence, I felt it was better for us both if that did not occur. My solution was to strike a stunning, transitory knock out blow. Then there would be no fight and no risk or real injury to anybody. These strikes would either allow me to restrain him without any trouble, or if the strike failed to effect the transitory KO, he was still at that moment unable to defend himself. In that sense these strikes could set up the harder and more powerful attack if need be. Having the fight begin with your enemy half unconscious is very good for your safety. You need to practice these a bit, and nothing works al the time. And though you will see me knock out several people and then I show others who then show you that they can do the same (and its all for real too) most all such KO's only last a second or even less really. But that is more than enough time to escape or follow up. Defending Against the Blade:$ 29.50 This is also DVD remake of a VHS I did 20 years
ago too. In that Obviously I got a lot of flak form the MA world, but that is very old news to me of course. I even got a letter saying "you obviously have no concept of the awesome power of the art of Bang Wang Fang!" Of course I have changed the style name to protect the innocent here. Well, there right I do not have any concept of the awesome power of bang Wang Fang and I am happily ignorant of same as well. The first big difference in my instruction vs. almost every other guy you might see teaching a knife defense, is that I have actually been attacked and cut with knives for real. I will tell you two things right off because I know them to be the unpleasant truth. If you are attacked with a knife, then you will not likely see the knife before you are cut. Secondarily if you are attacked with a knife you almost certainly will be cut too. Your defense and mind set must include these two realities if you desire to survive a real world knife attack. If you can't accept the basic truth of the above statement then you will ever have a chance to survive a knife attack anyway (except through remarkable luck alone) so do not bother buying this DVD. Being cut isn't so bad really. It does not hurt but that is one of the problems too. You often do not know you are cut or that their was even a knife involved until after it is all over. This isn't theory with me people this has occurred to me twice in real attacks!
Below the scar on my right thumb was straight strike to my back (kidney) which I deflected with my right hand shooting behind me. Here is the real point, real knifers do not at all often attack like in the MA schools teach, period.
IN this remake to DVD I had useful material and I have the advantage of being able to show the whole defense full speed, full power of the armored Bulletman! This way you absorb the very spirit of the technique. And again it has to be simple and automatic to work in real life. If it isn't your just playing dangerous and stupid games with your life and you are not training really at all "to live", but simply demonstrating and art Real attacks, real violence and real fighting is no art at all out there good people. |
DVD
3, $29.50: Ground
Fighting &
Escapes from Holds Many fights do end up on the ground and many assailants
will try to take you to the ground the ‘first crack out of the box’.
This is because they feel they have the advantage there. But they won’t
easily take you to the ground if you learn these simple movements &
practice them with a training partner. And if you are on the ground, then
you will know exactly what to do to escape or incapacitate your attacker. “As a
bouncer and “Cooler” I think I have seen most every kind of attack
and what really happens in a real fight. In that respect martial arts makes
self-defense far too complex. It is art, and not application oriented. Sure if you do
master an art it can help you. But are you going to spend years mastering
an art? You
are much better off learning practical self-defense than any martial art.
Then you can much better appreciate a martial art as well
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Peyton Quinn (director of instruction RMCAT, Black Belt Hall of Fame Member, Instructor of the Year 2008)) Self-Defense
Against the Sucker Puncher: $29.50
Twenty two years ago I made my first VHS, self-defense instructional tape and I titled it Self-Defense Against the Sucker Puncher. My bouncer work showed me clearly that almost every real world attack was initiated by an attempt at some sort of "sucker punch". It is absolutely the most common attack and it virtually only comes in two forms, the right hook or straight punch. This is DVD is a great remake and it includes a lot of things I learned later from, from 20 years of watching RMCAT attendants and what they can pull off and make work in our intense fight and 'sucker shot scenarios'. The original VHS tape is remarkably still a big seller and there can be no question that is was one of the very first self-defense videos ever released and it did have an impact on the MA industry as well. There were tons of martial arts videos on the market even way back then, but few, very few self-defense videos. Ironically, though not as much so now, that is still largely true today. If you can avoid being hit by that opening "sucker punch" then you have a chance to fight! And if not, then not as a general rule for most people. Beyond that the 'would be sucker puncher' is then in a "fight' and he did not psychologically plan on that at all! Even f you have the original, this baby is far better produced and has lot more that s very useful it too. He was never looking for a fight in the first place, but only a VICTIM! I have dealt with this situation or seen it go down easily more than 100 times. There is indeed a familiar pattern that once you understand it and can recognize the cues that precede the sucker punch, it makes it almost "easy" to avoid the guy even throwing the sucker punch in the first place. But if you work with a partner on the drills I show here, and a partner who will really throw a shot at your head at full speed, then you will discover it is not that hard at all to avoid being hit. Of course you have to wear some protection at first. But I will bet in short time you will be testing yourself with no head protection while the partner throws a full speed, surprise shot at your head!. This is important because it gives you confidence that you can avoid being hit by the sucker puncher's 'surprise' shot. But there is more to it too! Once you have that genuine confidence the enemy sees and perceives it and does not choose you to fuck with in the first place! And the whole time you are maybe not saying a word and certainly not appearing to take any 'defensive stance' either. But in reality your are doing both these things in the best most effective way you can (though your 'voice' maybe silent). The sucker puncher is very acutely aware of your response to is "woof" and verbal abuse and his physical posturing. Consequently his little Frog Brain will ask himself, "hum, what's wrong with this picture?" The result is he might say "fuck you" but then just walk off. This by the way is the only way you can truly and totally win a fight too. "The greatest excellence in war is to defeat your enemy without having to fight him" Sun Tzu: The Art of War -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This
is a DVD instructional is mostly directed to more advanced martial arts
people.
The techniques we instruct here are really only useful in a self-defense situation if you already know them. That may be a bit of a challenge to understand but what I mean is that we take some techniques from Aikido and White Crane Kung Fu that the three of us (The Mad Chinaman, The Amazing Eagle and Myself) used as bouncers and coolers in our security bar work.
I think another value of this DVD is the "attitude" you will perceive here about applying MA technique is real situation. Also, the use of the environment as a weapon, angles of attack, 'slapping the attack down', and the elements of striking a very powerful blow etc.
