We have been instructing these RMCAT classes for about 10 years now and we do realize that it takes a lot for you to attend our programs. 

It takes money, yes, as this is a very expensive program for us to put on. RMCAT training is not like traditional martial arts classes at all. 

Unlike armored assailant, adrenal stress training, traditional 'technique based' martial arts classes can most often be held quite inexpensively.

But, it also takes much more than just having the dollars to come here and participate in this program. Whether you have had no self-defense or no martial arts training at all, or even if you are an internationally recognized martial arts instructor, either way coming here takes you well out of your "comfort zone". I have had people from both groups tell me this quite explicitly.

Yet, in ten years I have not had one person take this class who did not feel that it was worth every penny. Many people tell me that if they had known what they were going to get out this class beforehand, then they would have been happy to pay twice or even three times the price. But of course, one has to first take the class to discover that!

THE TERMS OF OUR MONEY BACK  GUARANTEE: It is quite simple. We can not teach this course with 35 or so people in the class as can often be successfully done with a classical martial arts type instruction.

Experienced martial arts people get to see just how "dangerous" an "untrained" person can be in the short time frame of this class.

It is  also effective training in awareness, avoidance, understanding the criminal predatory mind and how they choose their potential victims. You will learn how to deal with hostile and aggressive people in a rational and effective way. It will then be clear to you that most conflicts can be avoided.

The personal self-confidence & the understanding you will gain about both yourself and others, the de-escalation strategies etc, these are all skills that will prove of real value to you in every aspect of your life.

We are not running a "Tony Robbins" type program here by any means. Though we do feel that Mr. Robbins' work has some real value to many people. What we are doing at RMCAT is conducting a very effective, and proven self defense program for today's real world.

BASIC COURSE:

 Friday evening until Sunday Afternoon

This is the hand to hand, unarmed fighting, adrenal stress conditioning course where you must deal with open ended scenarios and the armored assailants.

You will learn 'boundary setting' and practice  newly learned skills in the  de-escalation of conflict. 

You will understand how to not appear like a safe victim to potential predators too. All this is a big part of this course just as  is the physical fighting portion. 

In the fights you will go flat out with full power strikes to the head and groin on a moving, living , 'woofing' armored assailant. 

This is the "core" RMCAT course. If you can only take one of these courses this is the one you should take. It also provides a very good foundation for the successful undertaking of all the other courses that we offer.

The BASIC COURSE & The Firearms Course

Friday evening through Tuesday afternoon.

In this course we assume no previous knowledge of firearms. You will learn how use revolvers, semi automatic pistols and pump action shotguns. 

Like all RMCAT courses this course is taught through adrenal stress driven, open ended scenarios. You will be using a real gun with low velocity rubber bullets in your scenarios with the potential assailants (who are in light armor).

In addition, the live firing of real ammunition is conducted on our shooting range.

We also show you how to use  the M-16 and Ak-47 rifle. 

Like all three of the RMCAT Courses, the firearms course  involves the analysis of actual case studies and their legal outcomes. 

You will understand the nature of your legal jeopardy if you are ever forced to defend yourself or loved ones and also how you can reduce your legal jeopardy as much as is possible.

Friday evening until Thursday afternoon

The stick or the knife are the most likely weapons that you will have access to in a crisis. This is especially true in any sort of home invasion situation.

In most every jurisdiction some form of knife can be legally carried. Even a rather small person, a slight framed woman for example can successfully defend herself against even two large men, IF she has the blade - and the will and knowledge of how to use it.  This course will provide you with,...and it will show you that you have, all those necessary attributes.

The "techniques" portion of this course is chiefly instructed directly by Mr. Quinn. The "simplest is best" philosophy is maintained here.

But these are very often techniques that are rarely taught in any style of martial arts. The concept of the  "environment as a weapon" and pre-emption are integral to this instruction.
